Candee Meiring first stepped foot in a gym in 1997 to improve her self image, to get a hobby, live healthier, etc. All of the normal reasons. However, after training for a few weeks, the gym owner offered to sponsor her if she would enter a fitness model contest. Within 3 months, she found herself on stage for her first show. Lowell Gloeckl played sports for most of his life and this is where he developed the passion for fitness and lifting weights. Gloeckl stopped playing school sports midway through high school when the gym became more important to him. That is when he began doing powerlifting competitions.
